Beauty in Balance Salon, an organic salon, was created out of necessity for health.

Aidee Burt, the owner worked in the medical field in the emergency room for approx 10years. She had an opportunity to return to school and decided to try the opposite……. The beauty industry.

There, she found that most salons were just as hectic as the emergency room and decided to create a more balanced environment. Hence beauty in balance salon.

The salon opened it’s doors in april 1997 in charleston sc. At this time, the salon was not organic but well on it’s way.

The turning point. One of Aidee’s passions is animals and she had a little dog that developed congestive heart failure and kidney failure. Having medical experience, she knew her 18yr old little dogs life was at the end. Out of desperation she researched alternatives on dealing with these two diseases and found a way out. Her little dog began an organic, herbal lifestyle immediately and the diagnosis of chf and kidney failure we reversed. She lived another 2 years, happy and healthy!

During these times is when the owner learned of all of the chemicals we are around and using on ourselves. Cremes, lotions, shampoo’s, treatments, color….. The list goes on. That is when the beginning of a green organic salon called beauty in balance salon began to take development.

Today, beauty in balance salon used 100% certified organic and cruelty free products and is constantly researching to be sure we are using the most updated, effected professional, safe products around.
